Tie-Rod END Upgrade.... - 05.27.2009, 09:20 PM

Was looking around, and can't find anything to upgrade the things in the green box with.

Exclude the last one on the right in the green box, only the first 4 is what I'm looking to upgrade.

I've seen some Integy Titanium rods, but I'm a little unsure... Since it's Integy after all...

Anyways, if knows any "upgrades" or at least parts I can buy SEPARATE, as I'm getting tired of paying $12 for 4 little things, and tossing out the rest...

What size are they? There are not very many choices to go with so I use the Integy 3mm & 4mm rod ends. You can also find steel rod ends at some of the hardware venues that will work well. There are rod ends out there, but you have to research to find exactly what you are looking for. On my basher trucks I make my own turnbuckles with stainless steel allthread and Integy rod ends.

Should have mentioned, if those are the ones on the old 2.5 EMaxx turnbuckles, they don't work.

They're too short, and leaving too much exposed rod end, which will lead to MASSIVE toe out.

Also, the stock turnbuckle (for the 2.5) would be too long.. Wait, larger than normal (wait, that still doesn't work...) (Linc.. )
