No I leave mine in - Forgot to turn it off once and drained the battery to zero.

It bounced back ok though...

My battery is a 3s Dualsky 2500 mAh with a built-in balancer. I wonder if there are any drawbacks to a built-in balancer?

Well there is the weight :)

If it balances when not charging if cells get out of balance I've seen a balancer get confused and basically balance to cutoff as the cells kept boucing around and the balancer was too sensitive...

Also it might not bleed off that fast so charge slow.

Thats all i can think of...

that radio looks a bit familiar... i wonder where it is now? That lipo is still holding up great! I can use my radio for almost a month before needing to charge
