i finally got out my com lath and cut all my brushed motors last night . first time for me. but this just pushed me closer to an all brushless fleet.

I still have a comm lathe... I use it for the various crawler brushed motors that I have laying around. I do prefer brushless.

lol no i have done that enough times to convert my nitro to electric and sell everything that makes a nitro truck nitro. i have just run uncut coms on my brushed motors for 4 years or so and finally could see that some of them were just tearing up brushes left and right. i have had a lath but just never used it.

I got out my lathe and brushed motors last week, to put some old school stuff in my old JRX Pro. I didn't actually cut a comm, but grabbed a trinity 14x2 armature and a reedy endbell... to rebuild my Losi "Jr's Choice" motor. :) It's actually nice to mess with that stuff again, brings back some good memories of racing etc back in the day. LOL
