I agree that deans are tough to get apart. I wouldn't want to switch to trx plugs though. Recently I bought a large batch of these:

Which are really great plugs. They are made from nylon which is more heat resistant than pvc, making them easier to solder without going soft, grips on the sides make it so much easier to pull them apart and the guy sold them with precut heatshrink pieces, which is nice.

+1 on those. I love them! I always bought those damn expensive real deans for $2,50 per set. Those are 6 dollar for 10 sets or something like that, and they are even better!
