Now that would be interesting but note they don't say A123 - they could be emoli cells

Maxamps has them. And I agree with Arct1k 100%; pretty much any MA thread degenerates quickly into how much they suck. As I said in another thread: Stick to quantifiable facts and observations, and let people draw their own conclusions. Continual immature bashing does nothing to help anyone and destroys your (and this site's) credibility.

Are you guys talking about the "maxxamps always coming out of balance thread" or the one about the flat LiFe packs?

Maxamps will always have business as long as the remain the industry leader in LIPO ADVERTISING.
Most if not almost all of the people with electric rc will never handle the 100s of lipo packs I have. I doubt that the owners of the various brands have had the varied experience of lipos that I have had. I will not lie when I say I have at least 5-8k worth of lipos at any one time. I have owned every one of the "reputable" brands. I still to enerland cells cause they work, plain and simple. No self discharging at different rates, no puffing during storage, no issues if I push them too hard, no crazy 4-8 hour balancing sessions, no worries. If you get a bad enerland cell, consider yourself lucky as it is a rare sighting.

Uh oh, headed to same fate..
Gets a bit much to constantly go on about MA suckage. I don't like them either, but going on other forums to flame Jason, then post links back to flamefest threads here isn't cool. Esp w. pics of gunshot victim packs in the same post.
This is Mike's business forum, and he's not at war w/ Maxamps, so constantly involving him in one isn't in the spirit or purpose of these forums.
By all means flame away somewhere else (RCZ, RCT, RCU, etc) but understand where you are at here and what the purpose is. Legitimate product discussion is fine, but should be backed up by observation, comparison or relevant discussion, not just a "MA sucks balls" bonfire every week. Makes Mike and the rest of the guys here seem a bit squirrel douchey, and that's not a way to attract customers or helpful members.

I know what started the Maxamps debacle... Lets just let it go guys, we all know the ins and outs of maxamps lipos... Just be happy that you are "worldly" enough to know better!
I know I have been part of the problem, and I plan to have no more involvement with maxamps or info pertaining to them. I will only state monetary to performance comparisons.

Most of the problems are from the over rated stuff they sell. I've had only 2 MA packs and if I hadn't checked them, someone I love very much and I would probably have gotten hurt pretty bad. I never pushed the packs hard and when I stored them for a few weeks, they basically almost burst. I also have packs much older and not rated as high that I still use to this day. I would feel much safer if this industry started posting real numbers instead of hyping numbers up just to get a quick sell and this goes to lipos, esc and motors. I know a lot of companies that do post real numbers and people respect them way more then the over rated ones out there.

I agree with the sentiments of your post. But I do find what was going on over there amuzing (I love it when someone calls out an "industry leader") and would never have found it if not linked. But it should not be continued here. I hope the site can continue to attract type of memebers who's posts of "observation, comparison blah blah blah" helped me to ignore all the hype.
Was that really a gunshot victim or figure of speech?

Yeah man, I'm not suggesting we get all Chinese gov't and pretend and censor our opinions, but "Porra"'s postings were very good, relevant and backed by a good point and experience. That's the way it should be. People should be challenged. MA, CC, anybody, on the products they sell and their quality/value.
The other (now deleted post) was just a rant, link to a flamefest here, and a pic of a burned up MA pack w/ bullet holes in it. Not so helpful.
Sticking to the former rather than the later makes a more useful and respectable forum IMO.

Agree again. I always like being the bigger person and not joining a flame, but its like a guilty pleasure I can't help but watch (and make nonpartial comments) sometimes. Something about their reaction to their products being bashed on what should have been a q+a of their new products debut is too funny though. But if they can forget to put battery bars on my clear shrinked nimh packs, I should get to enjoy a laugh at their expense. Ok I'm done, next.
