acoms hayabusa transmitter on 3s-Lipo - 06.09.2009, 09:06 AM

Hi,

last weekend I started cleaning up my rc-stuff and I came across two one-time-used 3-s-lipos. pretty bad stuff, but I don't want them to throw away, and for the hayabusa it should be ok. positive should be the slightly higher voltage of fully charged 12,4v, and the 3800 mah capacity. currently I use eneloop batteries, which are quite good, but we will see if this is even better. it's a used 40mhz fm transmitter which worked excellent for the last 3 years.

I have found an old battery-box (glad that I don't throw away stuff ), soldered cables on it. with some velcro-tapes it's now mounted outside.

ready for Use

Hooray for over powered transmitters :)

I manged to find some 2500 mah 18c (overkill on the c rating) that when made into a 3s pack fit inside my m8 in the stock battery location. I think I am at 15 hrs of use so far and it is still over 11.1v...

My m11 came with a 2700 mah lipo, but no balance connector, just a 2 prong plug. I put a polyquest 3s tap on the m8 battery and charge/balance thru that. I may mod the m11 battery to have a balance plug, seems stupid not to have that IMO.
