I'm new to RCM but not to "MaxipadAmp" packs, My experience has ben hit or miss.
I HAD several 2s and 3s packs that failed for one reason or another or just refused to balance. I still have (2) 8000 4s I bought 2 years ago and are still working great(crossed fingers). I took apart (2) 2s 6000 to make a 6k 4s and what I found was surprising. Jason said not to do it "You can't do that because we have a special welder that solders the tabs" He's was full of crap about that for sure. The tabs were just copper and the sodering job performed was sub par at best. I soldered everything together and balanced it . Lent it to a friend and he was hooking up his new M.M.M. and soldered his deans plug on backwards and toasted his ESC and my Lipo.
Point being is that their cells are NO Different than my Zippy cells and the Zippys ROCK at a fraction of the cost and balance better to boot !
I haven't bought a Maxipad pack since nor will I ever,I will also highley reccomend Zippy packs over them anyday to anyone who'll listen.

I retired from RC, now life is all about guns and long range shooting.
