MMM 2650kv Buggy runtime

I know somewhere in this Hughe forum many people have talked about this combo MMM 2650kv in buggy...

So, i have one mmm and a Inferno....lipo 4s 5000mah 20/40C

Could anyone tell me the runtime this MMM setup could make? Even with another batt....

with 4s and 5000mah you will get between 14 and 17minutes of runtime depending on your style of driving and your gearing...

i have two pinions.....

48 x 13
48 x 14

Diff 43/13

The main track i run sometimes is very slow, many curbs and jumps...only one straight part....

The 13T would probably be better for your track because it's so slow, tight, etc. The motor will draw fewer amps with that than the 14T (slightly) but shouldn't over-rev on the straight. Racing you should get 13-15 minutes out of a 5,000 pack.

i know i know....the motor is in wrong place.....battery is too far behind......i didnt have the time to make a new motor mount and batery tray.....I have used 6s setup with a bigger motor for some time and it didnt worked great against other buggies....only on straight line.....

If you can supply the mAh of the 6s setup alogn with the runtime you got, you can then estimate the runtime at various other voltages. This page might help with that: http://scriptasylum.com/rc_speed/_power.html

I have used this setup on 6S

MGM Esc and MMM
Lipo 6s x 5000mah 25/50C
Neu 1527 1D (2300kv)

TOOOOOOOO strong....fast as hell when I assembled as a Inferno GT with ferrari body......BUT......the motor+battery setup is not correct.....too much motor for the batt and esc......and on a buggy for offroad....its impossible to handle.....too fast, too agressive, halt every time because of temps......

this setup is new to me......i never used 4s, only 6s........

The 1527 is WAYY too big a motor for a buggy unless you want to rip the tires off and/or are looking for intense speed runs.

6s is fine, just use the proper motor to go with it. A smaller motor with a kv of around 1600-1800 (like a Neu 1512/1.5y or 1512/3d) would be perfect for that voltage, and would stay cool too.

When I was running Maxamps 4s 8000mAh packs on my Hyper8 (Quark ESC, Neu 1512/2d), I got around 40 minutes of runtime and temps were always very good. Using a 5000mAh battery makes the total weight lower and will run cooler since there is less weight to lug around.

1400 kv is all you need for 6s. A 1512 2Y is perfect. Anything more will just take away from runtime. For 4s go with the 2.5D (2050) or 1.5Y (1900) on tight tracks. My 2650 is way to much for any track no matter how it is geared. Geared 11/46 in my 8ight, its exactly the same speed as nitro, but it still eats through packs like no other. I could gear up to a 14 tooth and get the same runtime and temps, but my fingure would be stuck between 0 and 1/2 throttle and the esc would heat up A LOT.
