really? here was my reasoning for getting the 2230. i run a 14oz 1515 in a 9lb truggy. most people use either the 17oz 1521 or the 22oz 1527 to power a 12-14lb monster truck or muggy. well the 2215 is only 24.8 oz. it just seemed that if people used a motor that is 3-5 ounces heavier to power a truck only 3-5lbs heavier then going up another 5 ounces to the 2215 would not be enough for another 10-15lbs of truck. the rampage will weigh around 25lb i believe. it just seemed the 48 ounce 2230 was better matched.

the good thing is that i have 10 days to return one of the unused motors for a full refund. i would be willing to sell one for what i paid. these motors are not easy to find and when you order one you are looking at 2-3 months to get it sometimes. at least that is what i was told.

Spy, have you had the chance to run both the 2215 and 2230 on 1/5 vehicles? or what application do you have experience with the these motors? thanks for the heads up by the way.
