I know a V1 Slipper unit for a Maxx is about to go for around $400!!! Mike really should get the ball rolling. Just saying. And I sent another Email yesterday. No answer yet. He really doesn't say much AT ALL about this project. I read threads back in 2005 where he would post allll the time. Now we are lucky to get a sentence it seems. He is busy I know...

I was wondering how close the motor would be to the shocks. Does anyone have this mount and a G3R?

Thanks, that was what I was thinking/wondering. I would worry about the shocks also even though you can turn it around. You could ask the posters who do have the parts individually to measure them then compare measurements.

If it was recently that you got intouch with him you must tell us(me) the secret. Old friend of his?

I sent him a email awhile ago, but that is all I got. I don't know him personaly, just from pestering him thru email. I sent a few other email asking more about the subject but havent hear anything else. I will let you know if I hear something. It would be cool if we had an update. Please.....

I haven't read the whole thread, but is this about Mike's new slipperential he has coming out?

I have been thinking about this for the E-revo chassis, but then I found that he doesn't even have any for sale?

it would not be bolt in. it would probably require grinding of the chassis rails(its wider than the rails, but depending on how it lines up you might not have to) and it would require mounting holes drilled in the chassis.

very doable, if you're a diy'er.

Mounting the direct drive Slipperential is tricky in the G2R/G3R trucks because of the limited space between the chassis rails - it is fairly easy to overcome this on the Maxx by simply lifting the diff up, but the revo has more challenges. The only way to do it IMO, is to mount it right behind the front shocks to allow room for the motor between the front and rear shock towers. This would require drilling some holes in the lower plate for mounting the bulks, as well as likely some grinding to fit the Slipperential spur between the braces.

I know some folks want this to happen, but I am buried in a few other projects at the moment. I need to try to get better at finishing one project before moving onto the next one(have a lot of things started, but not finished). :)
