I love the size of the 7th scale more so than even the 1/8 stuff. I am just skeptical about getting one for a couple of reasons...
1. durability
2. part support
3. cost of converting one to elect. ( bigger batts, motor, etc..)
your conversion look really good and look forward to your vid.

You should have asked to pull that kid in the wagon around. That would have been fun.
Looks like 2WD is doing some spinning and tailing out?

Cory...
The motor is already stressed pulling around a 25lb truck, last thing it needs is 60lb extra on its tail...

The Truck is about 20Lbs... Feels lighter than it was with the Petrol Engine with Fuel in it...
Here it is on 12S1P 5000mAh PolyQuest XP 25C

And here's a Video on 12S

Looks like that kb has plenty of torque to push that truck around. What top speed are you geared for on 12s?
Some closer pics of the motor mount with the cover off would be nice too!!!

is it just me, or do I see a disc brake in the front wheel on that beast?

Runs better with 12S. If you've got a lower kv motor and an esc that could handle it, go 16S!
ZPB: Yep that looks like a disc brake.

LOL, 16S would be nice if I had the controller for it.. heck, I'd run 20S if I could...
I rigged it up so if I do brake anything it will be easy to replace with stock Duratrax parts. And it's geared for 57MPH on 12S and 38 on 8S.... most/all of the parts are from the original Duratrax part... The motor mount was so easy to make.. I'll take a snap of that maybe tomorrow for you guys.. Pinion, I used the 14T 10mm bore transfer gear from the firehammer.. and for the 6mm ==> 10mm sleeve I used the support inserts which supports the petrol engine.. Worked out perfect!! I'd just have to bore it out to 8mm when/if I put the 2280 in...
Yeah, I have the front wheel disc brakes, I haven't mounted it on yet, only the discs.. I'm using the rear disc brakes on the shaft.. but I will eventually go to all around disc brakes to save my transfer gears and Differential...
