Can you guys point me in the right dirrection for some servo's that will work in my trucks but won't break the bank. I am a basher/ speed run guy, not tracks near by that I know of so no racing for me.

I need a steering servo for a Raze Truggy with a e-revo trans, a converted Muggy, a converted 3.3 revo (single servo), a stock xl-1 stampede with MM 5700 combo (not to heavy) and a FLM/ RPM Rustler (3-6S lipo HW80, HW150, MM pro (when avalible will goin this car) point is rustler is heavy).

I was thinking about one of those flebay chop shops that part out new unused trucks, but I don't know what is worth while and what is not.

Any help/ info is apreciated. Thanks

Check Hobby city, they have multiple brands that should be in the budget ?

Raze ST Truggy, but it is a bit tall to fit in the muggy, and I only bought it on a wimm not knowing how long it would last. But so far so good.

Can you tell me how to convert the specs on their servos to that of oz, and other measurments that most servos go by? I tried to do the conversion myself, but wasn't getting any numbers that made sence. I'm not even really sure how pwerful that one above is.

I'm still a knewb to most of this, but the point, click, buy, has made my BL collection large quicky. More ESC's and motors than cars. lol

I'm just not sure it's cut and dry like that. When I convert 15.8kg to ounces I come up with 557 ounces. Doesn't sound right to me. Seems like I'm missing something, I'm just not sure what.

Thank you, I wasn't seeing the cm in there and couldn't come up with it on my own. Now that I see it right in front of my face, I feel like an idiot for not saying to myself well oz/in kg/? "oh that must me cm". LOL

Any thoughts on the servo that I posted a link to for a single steering servo for a Muggy, or/ and a Revo?

not the "best" servos, but there cheap enough to have a few around as spares...

I use Hitec 985's in my Mugen MBX5-T for throttle/brake and steering, great servo's, only $69 each, and Hitec's have a lifetime warranty I believe.

And I had the same servo's that whitrzac posted a link to, had them in my crawler, and where the pin for the middle gears goes into the upper case gets stretched and develops alot of slop pretty easily, you can replace the upper case with one from a Hitec HS-645MG to eliminate that problem. They are good servo's for the price though.

the 996's are saposed to take care of the prob...

I use dual Hitec HS-5955TGs in my 5T. 333oz and .15 sec speed on 6 volts. I bought one new off the forums for $80, the other was used from Sower for $60. Definitely recommend them! Check the forums for them since their the "older model" of the 7955 but just as good. The only difference is the new model is programmable, which you won't need.

those servos blow, if you get one that will ""Return to center" on large tires for under $70 you are bon jovi "livin on a prayer"..

P.S. hows that warranty...$120 for a 400kg ..Jr but free fixes

I've bought those MG995 and MG996.. they work okay if you're really on a budget.. I've spent about $600 last month on some Super high torque Hitec, JR and Airtronics.. and WOW.. it's worth Every Penny... I've bought atleast 50 of those cheap servos.. but Now Hobby CIty have those BMS ones that seems to work pretty good...
