I have heard that team losi shocks work well on an E-MAXX. What other stock type shocks work on a e-maxx?? Heavy e-maxx about 12 lbs.

Dont go stock, pal. Team associated make stock aluminum shocks,too, but the problem is that they are standard size shocks, which means they will possibly bend. Take the UE super shocks. 4 shocks are all you need for $79. They're not as shiny as the ones you have, but they are surely tougher.

i would go witht he proline powerstrokes. they handle awesome and if it gets real bumpy or you want to make big jumps put the bypass shocks on there.

I like the looks of the prolines , but can you get springs in drifferent weights and colors for them?

Just go for 1/8 shocks. Dabid runs 4 ofna shocks on his savy, and they work great.

As someone who's used stock Traxxas, Proline Powerstrokes and now the UE. I would have to say for a heavier truck the UE are the best. I ran the Powerstrokes for about two months in my Supermaxx truck and no matter what combination of oil weight and springs I used they just were not able to absorb the landing of a 12+ lb truck with out slamming the chassis to the ground. With the UE shocks you can go with 8 and run heavy springs (blue or black) and a heavy oil and never worry about botteming your suspension out. I just have alot more option with my set of 8 UE shocks and am really happy with the durability of them. Good luck.

not sure about your setup or anything but the truck is supposed to bottom out and the powerstrokes are really good at absorbing big jumps....if the truck doesnt bottom out the chances are it will bounce...

I have to disagree with you on this one squee. Its been my experience that if you bottem out your suspension this causes your truck to bounce and loose control briefly. Its also is hard on equipment. You should be setting up your suspension to use full travel but not slam the ground every jump you go over. Having the right oil weight/spring combo will allow your rebound and compression to work together and keep your tires glued to the ground. I think they are both great shocks I just prefer the UE. In the end it's a personnal preference and I just think heavier trucks are more suited to the UE shocks.

Yes I agree it is personal preference. When I compare $150 for the UE's and the powerstrokes are around $70 I like powerstrokes. I found these on e-bay for $99.99 and I am wondering if the CVD"s will fit an aluminum E-MAXX? (all FLM)
