Revo ?'s - 07.20.2009, 06:42 PM

Alright i got a revo BL conversion, im blowing rear diffs(e-maxx), slipper is not too tight, so i've been driving my tekno RC8 w/1515 1y on 4s for now. Are the e-revo BL diffs a direct swap for the Revo 3.3? The tranny is fine for now thanks to RRP, half steel half plastic for less rotating mass. Doess the E-revo BL tranny drop in the revo 3.3 with little mods? i know the emaxx does but i've got the RCM mount on it that uses the traditional revo tranny. I've toughed up the original 3.3 tranny with plenty of axle pins lmao. Well i guess all i need to know is are the e-revo BL diffs a direct drop in for the revo 3.3?? Thanks all

The erevo diffs are a drop in part. But the Lst diff mod would be even more durable then that.

Thanks for the info, how about the BL e-revo tranny?? is it a direct drop in for the revo 3.3 chassis, would it accept a regular revo 38t spur?? also would it line up with the RCM brushless mount for the 3.3?? i wanna replace the diffs and tranny with the ones built for the BL erevo, other than that the driveline is bulletproof

the E-revo transmission has a built in motor mount. it is almost drop in- slight modification is needed for it to fit. It uses 32 pitch/.8 mod gears. you will need a new pinion.

BL Erevo tranny is not a direct fit, rwquires a little custom mount to be made for one side (narrower than the old emaxx tranny and nitro tranny).

It should accept any spur designed for the newer style slippler that uses 3 screws to hold it in place.

I doubt it will line up with the RCM motor mount as thats designed for use with the nitro tranny, but no ones ever attempted that so far as I know- use the stock emaxx 3905 single motor mount or dual motor mount otherwise (same tranny on both erevo and emaxx, just different motor mounts).

alright i'll just sell the RCM mount, and get the 3905 tranny, but see i have the tekno ESC mount that mounts to the nitro tranny, i guess id have to ditch it too, its using the single battery mount on the left and the motor on the right, with the new tranny with it throw off the balance as in is the motor closer to centerline??? I may just get the erevo diffs and if the tranny holds up then all is good

YOu can always find a gear like the spur gear from a Monster Gt that fits the transmission and allows you to use the mod 1 gears...

Rather than spending the bucks on complete E-Revo diffs, which I personnally dont believe are any stronger than what you have, buy yourself some aluminum inner and out diff cups. I did that to mine and it has held up for about a year now to the 1515 2.5D on 5S and 6S.

Or spend 30 dollars and get Lst diffs, I dont think there is enough aluminum for the traxxas diffs to be as strong :)

There is a thread in the General Section on Modding the Revo Bulkheads to fit LST diff's by Lincpimp - or maybe it got moved to the the Revo Forum.
