E-Revo Build Questions - 07.26.2009, 01:21 PM

I am looking at building a E-Revo from scrathc. What chassis would be better to start with? The E-revo plastic chassis or a 3.3 metal chassis?

With the 3.3 chassis I was planning on putting the 3905 E-maxx transmission on it.

If I went with the E-revo chasis can I adapt the 3905 trans to it also or will I have to get a E-Revo trans?

Which would be better? I will be running a MMM 2200 setup.

I think it will boil down to what size batteries you want to run, and which tranny you want.
If you want more than 4S, you should run a conversion set up.
If you want the better "out of the box" slipper system, you should run the E-Revo chassis with the Revo or 3905 tranny (although I dont know if the 3905 tranny is the same as the E-Revo tranny or not - should be, but dont know).
Best system - buy a G3R chassis somewhere.

Losi 8T 1.0, Savage Flux - XL style, LST XXL, Muggy, 3.3 E-Revo Conversion and sitting outside 425hp, 831 Tq Dodge Ram Turbo Diesel. It SMOKES

Well I just worked out a deal with a guy on RCtech for a 2.5 roller with a e-maxx tranny and battery trays. It has some 40 series wheels and tires and MIP cvds. So we will see if it goes through like planned and I will go from there and decide on a 3.3 chassis or a E-Revo Chassis.
