Dunno about the speed yet. I first want to see what the 7400kv motor can do in the .5 with 3s A123. First time ever that I'm actually using 6mm motor plugs and 5mm battery connectors. 4mm plugs would just overheat and melt the heatshrink off.

Nice, are those (can't remember the name) to absorb voltage transients?
Check what I did to me Quark. The batt plugs are newly installed 6.5mm CC bullets on 10ga. wire.

Yes, they are a pair of TVS's->transient voltage suppressor.
Man, and here I thought that me adding 4 caps onto my Quark, would make me to the shiznit. You beat me good. So that setup holds up to 6S heh.

Oh ya, I used to have problems when I got my G3 lipo's before the mod, but now 6s no problem, runs very smooth, can start up easier when geared high, and runs so cool as the FET's are internally thermal adhesive bonded to the case, and the case bonded to the RCM heatsink. After a 30 min main, the esc was only a few degrees above ambient!
BTW, how do you like the EC3, or which ever ones they are?

I use EC5s on my LST one for each 6s pack and then 6.5 bullets on the esc, they haven't even got warm yet or came loose, can't say the same for the 6.5's, had to put shrink over them so they would disconnect every 5 minutes (even after flaring them with an allen)

It's the EC5's that I'm using. They are nice and meaty. I'll datalog one run after I finish hooking it all up. I'm still waiting for my RX's to get in.

Okay, what bullets do the EC5's use? 5mm?

I have heard 4 and 4.5s, but EFlight claims 5mm.

The EC5 are 5mm. Good stuff.

Did a test run in the morning and temps where great. Battery got a good workout and I will need to play with the current limiter to keep it cooler.
After a full pack:
ESC 140F
TVS 130F
Motor wires 110F
6mm motor plugs 117F
Motor 137F
Battery 164F!
EC5 didn't measure. But they werent warm at all.
Sporting the RCM heatsink
