all novak ESCs will work with any sensored motor... the temp cutoff will only work on novak motors though...


add some caps and a fan on the esc and it should be fine...

Sorry, no.

The Havoc ESC specifically will not run a motor without a working temp sensor (unless you have kluged a resistor setup on the sensor cable). I know this from experience because I have a SS5800 motor with a failed temp sensor and the Havoc gives the LED error code for "no temp sensor" with this motor. It will not run it.

The Havoc 2S and 3S and the HV Pro all have the "blue wire software". The Goat 2S and 3S Crawler escs have a different sensing program to detect whether or not a Crawler motor is being used. If not, the esc reverts to standard configuration, not crawling.
