Anyone want to have a little competition? - 07.29.2009, 05:49 PM

I think a competition would be a cool thing to do. Maybe have the end date end of Aug or end of year or end of winter?

I was thinking we could see who can make the fastest kit. Maybe a Micro T based vehicle or 1/18th scale. The cost of something this small would be reasonable so we can have more then a few entries.

Just throwing an Idea out there. Is anyone interested in a competition like this?

I was thinking along the lines of who can make the fastest micro t or other small scale vehicle. fastest as in, highest top speed.

I've got some killer ideas for my lil micro t.

Meh, going fast is all we ever do around here....

What about a photo competition, based around a theme- thats always been highly popular on BYT, and its something everyone can do & take part in, even with a basic camera.

+1, Photo Contest sounds like a great idea.

I have both a brushless Micro-T and brushless Mini Desert Truck.

Confirming top speed might be tough, I don't have access to a radar gun, and something tells me strapping my Garmin to my Micro might hurt my chances at winning!

Heh, 50 is normal for an 18th scale owned by me. My old detta with a Neu went over 50 on 2s and I'm getting another one to run a medusa 3400 on 3-4s.

I guess we could just have another project of the year thread at the end of the year thread? I hope this would make it, what I'm planning.

But anyone interested in a crazy project competition? Crazy micro?

I'll make a Micro-T with a lead chassis/wheels and drop it out of a plane so it reaches terminal velocity. Or does it have to stay grounded in this contest?

W.T.F. that must be impossible to handle? I still know my Vendetta 1:18 which went 70-80 km/h, but everytime I drove I broke a part because it was un-steerable...

+1 on photo contests thingy btw
