Question about Warranty on my MMM - 08.02.2009, 06:19 PM

Im not sure, but I thought I saw somewhere that if you alter the case that it voids the warranty on the MMM. Is this true? If not, I have some pics below. I took the fan off of my MMM so the esc could fit in my touring car. I couldnt wait on the Mamba pro to run 3s in a 4wd touring lol. But I found that if the body isn't fit to run that fast, cars tend to have "lift" at high speeds. Can someone from castle let me know if this is covered under warranty? Thanks in advance. Jonathan

As long as you do not solder onto the board your fine.

He removed the fan connector from the main board - would no longer be covered...

You'd need to pay the flat fee repair $70

Actually I didnt remove anything but the fan itself. The connector as well as a few other components broke off during the crash. Thats the reason I posted the picture of the board. I think there is 3 or 4 pieces missing, but not sure.

That will be covered by the "flat fee" $70 repair. You are missing several pieces there...

it is a nice mod though.
i wonder how much improvment you get on cooling? cause the stock case, although it houses a fan and protects the thing, it must be pretty insulative?
