Be sure to pick up 9 and 10 tooth pinion gears for that motor. It likes to rev. Is the shaft 1/8" or 5mm? You'll NEED the 5mm shaft rotor/endbell for everything else except for the the rcm mount, otherwise the shaft will snap do to the excessive bending moment from mod1 gears. The rcm mount sets the motor close enough to the spur gear.
I have the motor with the bigger shaft so no worries. But what do I do since the HV maxx has 2 Battery intakes but I am only running 1 battery.

call novak's customer service. i haven't used a novak since the 80's. you can also post the question in the brushless forum. i'm sure one of those guys knows. I'm pretty sure all you'd need is a y harness connecter, but like i said i'm not sure. if it's got 2 battery connectors, you could always run 2 3S batteries stacked which will have the 2 connectors. i did that before i started buying the 6S.

Short the "battery 1" wires and connect the "battery 2" wires to the battery as normal. It says how do do it more specifically in the manual. You will also need to use an external bec.
