I may have an issue with my ESC or motor. I bought them used and I now I hadnt. I'm going to sacrifice beer and drinks this weekend so I can buy a new MM 5700kv combo and see how that works out.
Hmm, if geared to the same speed, and both motors having the same efficiency, the 540 motor should be running cooler. Were you using the stock pinion on the 540?

The 540 could be partially demagnetised. And for all I know, Neu motors have very high efficiency. This may explain y you have a cooler 380 motor. MM motors are pretty average motors and so maybe it isn't fair to compare them to the Neus. If I were you, I will get a new 540 sized Neu motor and forgo the MM combo.

True. The main reason I wanted to try this out was the fact I needed the MM. The 65a Quark I had on was good, but just not as tunable as the MM. Coming from a ERBE I completely forgot that these smaller cans arent made by Neu.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I saw this thread, scrolled down, and said WTF?

But I'm looking forward to the pics!
