The balance issue actually might not be such a big problem if they could use a smaller spur, which would allow the motor to sit closer to the centerline. It's already got truggy diffs, there's no need for a 50t spur! Heck my Jammin CRT has those spiral cut diffs with a 46t spur, same motor (2200), 5s Lipo, and a 13t pinion. In that buggy on 4s you might need to gear it with an 18t+ pinion which would really push the motor out.

Keep in mind that balance isn't just weight related, but is a combination of weight and the distance from the centerline. If they shifted the CD more toward the right of the buggy and used a 46t spur they could get the motor pretty close to the centerline, probably close enough to negate the battery being on the same side.

I wonder if the 50t spur was included because they intend to have the owner use mechanical brakes? Otherwise that 50t spur option is simply retarded IMO.
