hey guys, thinking of swapping out the novak system and put in a mamba monster 2200. i am currently running 2 7 cell and was wondering the best gearing also if i go with 3 cell lipo how much of a difference would it make? and its the newer emaxx.

for a maxx i recommend running quality 4s lipo. I ran cheap 7cell on the system befo and it didnt even move

24/68 on 4s lipo is a good starting point (~38mph)- I would go for a pair of 2s lipos though since they will fit much more easily.

Otherwise, limit yourself to 18/68 with the nimhs, you'll just end up cooking them with the power hungry MMM (Novak is good, but its nothing compared to the sheer power of the MMM systems).

Agreed, I had a few novak HV's a while back running 4s power. Swapped out the HV for the M.M.M. and used the same packs.
WHOA NELLY Twice the power !
Good packs are one of the most important investments you can make.


I retired from RC, now life is all about guns and long range shooting.
