I am not anywhere near an expert, but I have seen a crt .5 with a 2650kv CC. It's insane. Way too much motor for the thing, but it was doable. The guy who did it is known for his outrageous setups. I am not sure about the st though

I guess a 1509 is the same price..

I am tempted to buy one of these.. I had a crt.5 and it was fun but I lost interest in it.. our track is a total 1/8th scale track with no rhythm just big jumps..

I'm not even sure if that will bolt up to be honest, it seems like the 36mm of my medusa takes up most of the space, but I could be wrong and i don't have it in front of me.

I have a Castle/Neu 2200 (1515 1Y) in my CRT.5, and the fiting is perfect, the weight balance is perfect, all is perfect, and with my 5s Hyperion 3300mAh, the power is absolutly insane.

BUT, i don't know if this motor will fit the mini Hyper mount

I run a 1509 on 2s and it is a good setup, IMO. Not too insane, and tire wear is not too bad. I tried to keep this truck as light as possible...

Hmm, 4500kv, 1509 1.5d. Not sure what pinion I have on it, but it does close to 40 and is very well balanced. Plus I do not have issues with the suspension being overloaded.

The weight is a little problem on mine, with the RCM kit, 1515 motor and 5s, this truck is at 6.2 pounds

I run a Medusa 36-50-3300 on 3s 3300mAh and that's a good setup for me. Geared for ~35mph, temps are cool and still tons of power. With 120k CD oil, it wheelies at practically any speed.

Personally, a huge motor like the 2200 or even the 2650 is neat for bragging rights, or just to have stupid amounts of power, but that much torque has to be bad for the driveline. I've snapped diff ring gears and driveshafts on my current setup.

What kind of run times are you getting with that setup?

I have been looking medusa like that but we all know about that.. I might just buy a neu 1509 for the extra money..
