Yes, the 2D would be faster and run cooler, go for the 2D over the 1D.

You know what, I am running a 1512/3D in my Revo and it can crank out 2200+watts, was the most I have caught on Eagletree, probably has been higher even.

A 2D on 6s in a 1/16.... that will be... I don't know, something else.

You will definitely be pushing those packs to the limit, they can probably deliver 1800watts peak, and ~1100watts continuous. You might want to get a larger pack to handle the power that the 1512 can turn out. You should maybe consider getting the 2200's or 2600's, that should get you a sizable speed increase alone, even with the 1112 you are using now.

Oh, no question larger packs would be better. The problem is, they won't fit in the 1/16 compartments. The 3S 1600 appears to be the largest that will fit.

So, help me understand this

I just threw the stock 1/16 VXL motor back into the truck to see what it would do. I dropped the gearing to 39/45 since this motor is rated for 4000kv and should turn more RPM. I was able to get the same 73 MPH with the same ESC and batteries as the Neu 1112. How is that possible? The motor ran a bunch hotter than the Neu, but how can the Neu not be any more powerful than the stock 1/16 VXL motor? Does this point to the EZRUN 60A ESC or something else as being my limiting factor maybe?
