Ah ha! I'm glad someone has finally found a good use for those things. MA loves giving it up the A anyway, they will feel right at home.

Can't wait to see the burnout videos. :) The shortwheel base on that thing should make for some mad wheelies.

I would suggest mounting the antenna like this:

There was a bit of (AM) radio interference on this conversion, but it was a nitro and a fail-safe was never installed. Oh well, I never liked cats anyway.

Have Lehner gotten any better with customer service? Why did you choose the Lehner 3080 over let say a Neu 22xx? Did you get a good deal for the 3080?

Reason, I had chosen the Lehner over the neu because...

All the hype and literature that the 1527 and the 2215 would smoke the 2280..... I had to get myself a 1527, so I had gotten 4.. 3 different winds...
and none of those motors could even compare to the power out put of the 2280-5 HA.. but the 1527's were more powerful than my 2280-13 non hi-amp.. After seeing a video of a 2215 on 8S+ on a baja 5B, it's nothing compared to the 2280-5 HA on 6S.. 8S is just sick... So I guess I am in love with the "Hi Amp" versions of the Lehner motors... They have always served me well... Warranty still takes time.. and I only had to service the 2280 one time.. now, I have a 1950 HA being sent to Lehner.. Their customers service is nothign compared to Neu, I can imagine. But I really do like the Hi Amp series made by Lehner... So, since the 3080s are all Hi Amps, I had to have one. Nothing against Neu either.. I have 6 Neu motors and will/would definately buy them again... for their performance, the price is just awesome!!. I will get a Neu 2230 of the same KV and I will definately do a comparison...

Sounds good. I'll be waiting for a comparison of the Neu 2230. When will we all see this monster of yours in action?
