It's coming along nicley, are you working on the frewheel to your front gear cluster now or did you already finish that part? This was always one of the sticking points I had for adding an electric/pedal powered bike. You said the freewheel was gritty were you able to clean it?

I have always wanted to build one. When I was about 15 I saw a pair of bikes that had a engine that was strapped over the front wheel and when you wanted to run the engine you moved a lever that moved the assembly onto the tire and a friction drive roller was put in contact with the tire starting the engine, apparently they sold a few in the late 70's.
