I didn't think they were only rated for 1C, I would have thought min 2C and mroe likely 4C+, as they ARE a 40C pack, very low internal resistance. But maybe the chemistry doesn't allow it safely I guess?

What's with the no replies eh?

I found the Thunder Power thread on RC-Tech. Thunder Power themselves say that you can charge their cells (successfully) at 2C and 3C, though at 3C there was a significant/noticeable drop in life cycle, and that at those rates the cells must be balanced using a balancer that monitors the cells the whole time.

Not a problem for me, I only need to charge at 2C, and I have a proper balancer.


In the beginning the Universe was created.
This has made a lot of people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move.
