i hope some ebay retailers sell the rollers on ebay. i'm not a big fan of the V systems.
I'm gonna ditch the electronics, the body mounts and bumpers. I'll also lose the body for an 8ight illuzion lid, add a rear wing and run 17mm wheel adapters.

i think that'll convert it to a 4wd 1/10 buggy.
But it will be the same size as a 1/8 buggy. Probably would even meet the rules for 1/9 buggy if you wanted to race it. Except for possibly the minimum weight. probably too light
I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...
Anybody else see this as a platform for an eighth scale buggy too? Move the chassis underneath the bulkheads and shorten the wheelbase by about half an inch, and you have a dead ringer for a Ofna Hyper 9E. More platform engineering yet to come me thinks....
I think I'll get one, ditch the electronics, servo, bumpers, chassis, drivetrain, then convert it to a Jammin Scrt10. Actually it looks pretty cool and really it's a ready to run that would get someone in the hobby and keep them in.
Time to go w/ 1/8 diff's and a center mounted motor and diff/spur if they decide to move foward w/ a buggy.. maybe some decent big bore shocks.. LOL Traxxas isn't ready to play in this area yet. This is going to be by far the best SC on the market though iMO, pretty neat setup. A roller would be welcome but Traxxas doesn't go that way.
A buddy of mine sold his 1/16 Slash as soon as he saw the 4x4 Slash. It's making me think it would be a good opportunity to convert my Hyper Mini ST over to the SCRT10 with a custom chassis. Then we'll see who's king of the track
SH Z-Car, Custom Crawler, 8s Savage, 12s XTM XLB 1/7 buggy, 4wd 4-link rear/IFS Pro4 truck, Custom Hyper 10 Short Course, Belt-Drive Mammoth ST 1/8 truggy, 4s 17.5 MM Pro HPI Blitz

Of course you're talking about the new Slash here.
