I have made decent progress and should have some picture ready material soon. This mod will require a new chassis plate to be made, as I will run a single servo, and it will not reside in the facotry mount holes.

I also plan to extend the chassis length 1.55 inches between the front bulk and the tranny. I arrived at this length as the front center driveshaft can be replaced with a lst1 wheel driveshaft. This will do 2 things, give me more room to mount the battery tray, and the added wheelbase will tame the wheelies a bit. Plus my current setup is slightly nose heavy, moving the lipo an inch back will help that too. And I get to use an off-the-shelf part, and I have about 8 of them.

It is a reasonably simple mod, but does require trimming the side braces and front top brace. This mod can be done with the stock length center driveshafts, but the brake and reverse servos may need to be moved around slightly.

Pics to come soon.
Any progress with the steering mod? ...pics?

Yeah, I actually did it to my 6x6 lst, check the project X section, thread is titled my latest project x. I have not made a new chassis plate for either truck yet, but I should be back working on them by christmas. So I have not actually mounted a servo yet.
