i was just wondering does anybody have or had any problems running the MMM v1.22, coz all my MMM`s have an older version (dont remember which one) and they r running fine, will they run better with the update or will something go wrong with them ? or if it is not broken done fix it ?

i'm running the 1.2x beta one (cant remember last number) but it has a little less cogging and going from reverse to forward while on a roll is a little smoother, rather than getting major cogging like you used to get, now you get stiff breaking.

cool guys thanks, then i`ll need to update all three of mine and hopfully everything will go well.
one more question will i lose the settings (brake, drage brake, punch control......) when updating the firmware?

i dont think so but save the profiles just to be on the safe side

You don't lose the settings on update -- they will be saved and restored automatically.

It's not a bad idea to make a backup of your settings though, just in case!

Is this true if you have, say, three different MMM's and program them all with the same pc? I'd assume it is, as I haven't experienced any crossover of any settings.

Correct me if I'm wrong here Patrick.

I believe individual ESC settings are retained as Eprom data inside THAT individual ESC.

The Castle Link first reads the data from the controller, then displays it for your viewing pleasure. LOL

Then you can change what you like and rewrite that data to the controller.

When you hook up to a different controller, it firsts reads that ESC's stored data, then the process starts all over again.

It's a very good system IMO.

Yes, that's true. The settings are stored in a flash block in the processor.

We always suggest that you save any settings files you wish keep prior to doing a software update, but the software will write your original settings back to the memory after a software update. However, rarely something will go wrong (like the programming gets interrupted) and that can cause a loss of the settings. If you save them to a file, you can always update them again after an aborted software upload.
