You can always test the radio by using a receiver battery and plugging a servo into the throttle channel on the receiver. If the servo moves when you move the throttle trigger then the radio is OK and the problem is either ESC or ESC calibration. If the servo doesn't move, then the problem is with TX programming or the receiver channel.
