? about sensored motors -
10.12.2009, 04:18 PM
Do all sensored motors use the same sensor wire plugs? Or are they all different?
I'm wanting to use the MMP(when available) with a Novak Ballistic 17.5 turn motor. Any problems?

They are pretty much standard across the board.

Ok, was making sure they would all work.
Any input on the Novak Havoc Pro esc and ballistic motors? I may head that way if the MMP isn't release soon enough. I need to get my SC10 on the road.

There is always the Tekin RSpro, but MMpro requires no mods to have fun with.

I would love to try the Tekin RS systems. But they are so damn expensive... I'll be running a Redline 17.5 motor. I just picked one up. But I'm still debating the RS... Unless I can find a good price on one. How programmable are they? Like Castles?
I wish the mmp's were shipping already. I need my setup for the 22nd, got a big local race.

the rs is worth it! and its very adjustable and witht he newest software in sensored only mode the Boost will REALLY change a motor, the rs can take an 8.5 and make it pull 6.5s outdoors and run like a 13.5 indoors.... so adjustable and INcredibly smooth.

Well I picked up a Tekin RS, not the pro model. Only running 17.5t motors as per ROAR rules for Short course.
And is the Hotwire really necessary?

yes the hotwire is a nessicty, when you get the hotwire put it on sensored only mode and crank that boost up, gear that sc10 right and watch the other sc's eat roost, you should see a solid advantage using the rs.

I knew I should have ordered the Hotwire... Hopefully the LHS has one.
We have a big race on the 22nd. I'll be running Slash Spec and SC Truck with my SC10(RS/Redline 17.5/ Hyperion 2s 5500).

A friend of mine is trying to run a Trinity Duo 2 17.5t motor on a CC Sidewinder in his SC10. From a dead stop, the motor cogs bad and cant decide whether it wants to go forward or reverse. But if you give the truck a push, it will take off and run until you hit a dead stop again. Any clue? The motor is supposed to be able to be ran sensored or sensorless. Or is it a must to run it sensorless?
