My main concern is that I have heard I might need a better controler for some reason. I have the dx3s, also does the reciever fit in the box the supply. Any opinions or feedback would be greatly apprecited.
Yeah, the DX3S doesn't do throttle/brake mixing on the 3rd channel. It only does steering mixing. Try the DX3R, M11, or 3PK/4PK radios if you want to do full mixing. The other alternative is to run a Y-splitter for the brake servo, which many do.

The RX is not meant to fit in the radio tray, it goes on top next to the ESC. Some have been able to fit super tiny micro RX's in there, but any time you need access to the wires (like when programming your ESC) it's easier if it's on top. Hope this helps. Thanks.

ok, may sound like a ding dong, but can one emphasize on brake mixing, because with my dx3s, I can change the th trim to the brake trim and controll how much it goes each way.. Isn't that kinda what I need? Also, so the radio reciever is exposed to the elements with the tekno kit? What options do I have to get it enclosed. I seen a pic of a guys setup with the esc behind the battery tray and in front of the tray was a box which looked like a antenna came out of. Any pics or reference threads with the kits would be sweet. I've been digging for several weeks and it seems like not to many people like sharing info. Kinda crazy. Been racing mx for 20 yrs and it seems rc guys are way more serious!!
