painting question - 12.08.2009, 09:00 AM

I want to spray some words on a body with Spaztix mirror chrome (oil based). I use a Parma water based paints for all my bodies (love the ease of clean up). I want to spray the Spaztix first but was wondering what preparation would be required to allow the water based Parma paints stick?

Thanks!

I will spank a nitro any day...guaranteed. :)

The Mirror chrome is laquer based(I beleive) and will dry very quickly. Just be safe and let it dry for a couple hours and just spray over it with no further prep needed. DO NOT scratch/sand where you plan on spraying the chrome, it will show sanding lines through and will have a brushed aluminum look rather than chrome.

I retired from RC, now life is all about guns and long range shooting.
