Slash 4x4 Roller, well, almost.... -

All upgraded, cost almost as much as the RTR, but includes the motor, esc and steering servo.
Nice try, my Ofna Hyper SC 4x4 should be here Monday.
I am not a Traxxas hater by any means, I think they have done a lot for this hobby. I just wish they could have delivered a REAL rolling chassis.
(I didn't see a thread on this anywhere else. If there is, feel free to )

Its not terrible, but you'd expect all those "upgrades" as std equipment on any other truck, like an ofna. Still plastic chassis and towers. Too bad it wasn't about $100 less. I'd get that one leagues before the RTR tho.
OTOH the Hyper SC pro is $269 (no motor/esc)

I ordered mine yesterday. Was going to have to dump the radio anyways. I will still probably sell the motor and esc though.

ill prolly get it INSTEAD of the hyper or jammnin because mine is gonna be bashed to hell and besides that thing is gonna look bitchin with my 2.2 badlands on front offset wheels, my VW bug body, paired with rear cvds, captured rear pins, and the 3s/9L setup out of my slash its gonna be the definition of FUN besides ive got some many body and tires and wheels and all this other junk that will swap with this truck id be dumb to give my slash away and have to restock for a different truck...

To me it's a much better deal than the RTR. Trade the junk AM radio for all of the aluminum hop ups and a CD.

Seeing how nice the Ofna is, reading your replies and giving it some thought, I may pick up a Slash 4x4 to beat the crap out of. The Ofna is just too nice get eaten by the rocks, trees and coarse dirt of my big back yard.
I have been wanting a single battery driven 1/10th scale 4x4 truck forever and now I want two of them!! I would love to just strap in a single nimh and go. No fiddling with two batteries, no having to charge Lipo's prior to driving, no worrying about anything but the fresh dirt and my two ferocious labradors.
I can wait though, would like to see both Slash 4x4 versions up close, but I will most likely go with the plat version. I don't need another damn RTR radio in my house collecting dust.
