Are there mini truggy's as durable as 1/8 truggy's?

I'm looking for a very durable truck, durable meaning driveline, arms , everything really...
I want a brushless setup in it, and want to be able to bash without worrying about any breakages.

I've heard several people say some 1/8 truggy's are "built like tanks", but I am wondering if there are any 1/10 or 1/12 truggy's as durable...

The CRT.5 is pretty tough and there are some Al upgrades you can do to make it even tougher. But no matter what, breakage is a part of the hobby. I've broken my XT8 truggy a couple times.

My crt.5 is pretty tough. I haven't beaten on it that bad but the times I have given it a little bit of hell it took it no problem.

I have not really broken anything on my .5 either. Only thing was bent a center shaft on a bad landing from a 5-7m drop. The chassis actually bent so bad it bent the shaft. Chassis was fine, but installed 7075 braces to stop the flex. Broke one arm in the cold weather also. Pretty much it. Great truck.

CRT.5 is a beast! The only times I have broken anything has been when it was well below freezing out. Then the one time I was hitting a snowbank that I made into a ramp, except I missed the ramp part and drove into a solid wall of ice at about 30MPH...The pile of ice/snow actually moved across the blacktop about 3 inches and I broke the steering arm! Very solid 1/12 truggy!!!

Relatively speaking, 1/12 vehicles are much lighter than their 1/10 or 1/8 counterparts ( crt.5 vs crt), so when they do crash, there isnt as much inertia behind the impact- not as prone to breakage as you might imagine. Then again, it all depends on the design and strength of the parts; if its made from spindley little bits of plastic and tiny rod ends, it'll still break easily enough.

I've heard many good things about the Hyper ste recently, may look into one of those as my next project- an out & out basher that Im not half affraid to use for fear of damaging its impossible to replace parts... (see: Gmaxx)

It depends on what you do with it.. I have seen my friends crt.5 get bombed off huge jumps, back flips and front flips. Has broken all 4 arms, rear hubs, front bumper, body mounts...

I have the STe, it's a pretty tough truck. Bashed it two days ago (nothing extreme since it was freezing 8 degrees Celsius / 18 Fahrenheit) but it did good!! No broken parts and it did have some nice cartwheels en unintended flips through the air .

Sorry about the brevity,But sometime it can be the most apropriate response!I have raced a .5 and a X1crt since they entered the fray and i restate no,no way,no how are there "any" 1/12 truggys that are nearly as armored and stout as my 1/8 truggy on witch i have only broken maybe five arms in as many years. The .5 by comparison has broken dozens and many with little pravocation.I do love both trucks but if im going for a bash and dont wish to wrench much ,ill take the 1/8 truggy everytime.but wrenching is rather a large part of the joy of this hobby so i realy dont mind the 1/12 at all. besides the web master wouldnt let me just post up No! The new Losi TEN-T looks pretty sweet for a small truggy option. Would like to convert one of those. But at $500 for a RTR its seems a bit steep. I'm gona wait and hopefully they release a "race roller" version where you dont have to buy the motor, electronics and radio that I would just be tossing anyway. Something in the $299 range for a roller would be sweet IMO.
