Guys..lokking at a new spektrum system..couple of questions - 12.25.2009, 11:00 PM

looking at this one....any good? http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...y-w-S100-Servo

I know that is only 2ch...I only use 2ch. so a 3ch is not that imp't. Would I be better off w/the 3.0 and 3ch capability

I know nothing of these radios so these are all greek to me. I do not need at the bells and whistles that come with the 3.0s and 3.0R models

Just got one today for xmas! great radio

The 2s has the ability to go from "expert" menu's with all the bells and whistles.. to beginner menus. that have just the basics. you will love it- that servo is crap though

Not worried about the servo..

Been looking at spektrum for over a year, not sure when to take the leap. I have only 4 cars/trucks and don't plan on having any more so this set up will do me quite well I believe

Its well worth it. Range, time from input to car reaction, ease of use. No cars taking off.. Built in failsafe.

Cant beat it

I totally agree w/you. Range has been by biggest gripe lately w/my fm set up.

Now..in looking further, for $50- more I can get the 3s w/an extra rx. If I find a used rx for sale, I believe it will still cost more than the 3s w/the extra rx. ugh!

I actually just found the DX3S for $ 236- shipped! So I am going to go that route simply for the extra rx figuring that it will be cheaper in the end

The DX3S can be found cheaper than that...

$199.99 + shipping from thebarnfloor.com
http://thebarnfloor.com/catalog/prod...roducts_id=705

You have to add it to your cart to show the $199.99 price.

The 3rd channel and extra receiver make the DX3S the way to go. You may think you'll never use the 3rd channel, but it's always good to have just in case.

True...In looking at the 2s + 1 new RX, it would have been more than what I picked up the 3S for.
