looking for charger...need advice - 12.01.2009, 03:18 PM

im looking to put a 3 cell lipo setup into my rc18mt and have no idea what to look for in a charger. i am somewhat familar with the batteries with the only exception being what the "C" measurement is. they talk about 20-30 C in a battery? i would also like the charger to charge my existing nimh batterys if possible. money isnt a problem but i dont want to spend too much. thanks in advance.

AC or DC powered?.. if you want both.. they have lots at hobbycity.com.. and the 20"C" is the discharge rate if im not mistaken?.. but i could be wrong.. i thought linc would clear that up.. but if he wont Neil sure will.. await neils opinion he is all masterful!!

The "C" rating is the rate of discharge. Example: 5000mAh 30c would convert to 5amp x 30 = 150amp. But you need to know if the rating is continuous or burst? And there is allot of mistrust about battery ratings
