That should be an awesome setup! Earlier in the week I ordered an aluminum tranny case and aluminum front arms for my Rustler, and I can't wait to get them!
That little piece goes under the rear arms, I think. They are just braces.
On my Rustler, I use Ofna Super Shocks on the rear, and they work very well. I did have to make a shock tower to get them to fit since they are so long, but I find them MUCH better than the Evader shocks I used to run. I even ran dual Evader shocks on the rear, and these Ofna shocks are way better!
