Hi . I am Marin and Im from Croatia , have savage 25 that I converted in brushless . I put motor mount form kershaw and bought EZrun 80A combo for 140$ with 2300Kv motor . I also bought on ebay cheapest 4S lipo battery with 15 C . Savage was going with this battery almost 10 days , then te battery dies . Nov I need new on . I ask You all witch good battery to buy on ebay that would last , and is it better to buy 2 packs of 2S and connect them serial on one 4S battery . I looked at this one : http://cgi.ebay.com/DLG-RC-Battery-3...item3ca64cc6ec

What can You suggest me .

Dont buy ebay batteries- the magority of them are junk- and 15c is not anywhere near what amperage you need.

the only advantage to running 2 2s packs in series is that you can use the packs in other cars.

Nice Truck Welcome! Croatia, Lke that Liuka guy that was on E.R.(T.V.)

Well, a month ago everybody was buying G3 Hyperion's now the trend is good ol cheep turnigy hobbyking's.

Min volts per cell = 3.2v

Do you balance your pack's cells?

I would use (2)2s lipos for your Savage one on each side to help balance it out. Downside is charging twice.

FYI,
BEC = Battery Eliminator Circuit it should be set at 5.5-6.0v
LVC = Low Voltage Cutoff should be 3.2 volts for each cell.

Today I bought Turnigy 5000mAh 35C 4S lipo to see how my savage is going with this battery .

Is there any special procedure for first charging of lipos ?

No just keep an eye on the balance of the pack for awhile to be safe, dealing with their 8 gage wire can be a pain in the a$$ to solder a deans on too. I have a few I've been deeding to do.

why did you recommend the 35c packs? the 40c packs are cheaper.....well, still, even 30c would have been plenty and even at the higher prices for the 35c packs, they are still pretty cheap, but he could have gotten the same pack as a 40c for $10 less.

They say a good mechanic only needs 2 tools - WD40 & Duct tape. If it moves, and its not supposed to, duct tape. If it doesn't move, and its supposed to, WD40.

ESC Problem - 02.22.2010, 02:18 PM

I finally get my turingy battery and , have EZrun ESC 80A and EZrun motor 2300kv , and that worked for 5 min , savage was flying on rear wheels and stopped . When I turn my esc on he start to light and I dont her beep sound and of course motor is not running , so i think ESC is dead , I try to connect another motor and same thing happens . When I connect battery on ESC I got lot of sparks !!! Is it possible that battery is fried my ESC ? Because earlier I used some cheap batteries and everithing worked .

Check over your solder connections for a loose one.

Did you notice much heat from any components or wires after running it?

Did you put a new plug on the lipo?
