I had a hard time finding an "all around" setup on my 1.0 8Te. On tighter tracks w/multipe 180's or alot of close radius swithchbacks where you really need the truck to pivot well I ran 5/8/2 with a 3/3 toe/anti-squat plate and fought the loose rear end through the acceleration and high speed braking bumps. On a longer, drawn out track I would run 8/10/2 and/or switch the rear plate to a 3/2.5 which would settle the rear end down nicely. I have'nt run my 2.0Te yet with standard diffs; not sure if I like the front the front smart diff yet but the center definitely helps and might really benefit the 1.0 as well.
