Thanks, unfortunately that truck was stolen a few weeks back :(

Are all the new truck-specific motors shipping with 5mm shafts? I'm in the market for a replacement truck but would like to run the MMM with a 1717 again.

All I ever wanted was an honest weeks pay for an honest days work.

Fooking Scum! That blows Spy!

Well if a 1717 with a custom shaft shows up anywhere in your tri-state area chances are good it was yours.

I'm pretty sure the new ones will be 5mm.

Any updates on sending in the motor to be swapped out for a 5mm rotor? It's been about 6 weeks since it was posted

Any KV rating so far for the coming 2025 motor? around 700 could be perfect for 12S apps?

The 2225 is 900KV. Hopefully they drop the KV before releasing them, that's too high!

I didn't get a chance to run it much, but it was brutal! My Muggy weighed a ton (with tires and batteries about 16 pounds) and geared for ~60 MPH on 6s it would accelerate to top speed as fast as traction would allow for. Never got enough traction for wheelies but I'm getting either another Muggy or an LST2 to replace it as well as possibly building a big savage and I plan to run the 1717 again once the new rotors come out. It would be nice to see them a little cheaper, too. $230 street price is good for what you get but IMO if they could get them out for $180 they would really be the hot ticket.

Hey Sully,

Q; I'm going to start building a Savge 5T (hope to weigh under 20lbs) sometime next month and was wondering what you think about the 1717 on 6s to power it. Your thoughts even though your driving time was shortened by a theiving douche bag ?

Thanks

I'm shooting for 20-25lbs on my project. I've heard it'll run pretty cool geared for about 30mph but anything over that will get toasty. I'm curious to see what he says also. I'm not looking for more than 30mph for my truck though.

I got my motor mounted up the other day to an RCM motor mount for a Hyper 7

I ordered this 6mm 10t mod 1 pinion the other day and it arrived 2-3 days later.

I wanted a 9T which would have put me around 31mph on 6S nominal voltage. The 10t will put me at around 35mph so I'll have to keep an eye on temps. I'm running small tires and only 2WD so the load shouldn't be crazy. (I'm hoping)
