FLM has i single motor setup that will put the motor down in the right side battery tray and drop the CG ALOT and then you can run one smaller and light single pack on the left side...... Thats exactly what i wanted to do with a new emaxx, keep it as plastic and as light as possible and have a good basher with "enough" power.....

to loose some rotating weight you can go with different tires, or knock a few lugs off of the stock ones....

I checked out that FLM motor mount, it's not a bad idea but since I have 3 sets of packs for this the way it is I'm gonna keep it the way it is, plus I like having the gear cover on there, keeps things looking clean. Not really trying to keep it plastic and light, just replacing things as they break with something that isn't likely to break and so far that has meant all RPM stuff. If I break a bulk head I will put aluminum ones in. As for the tires, rotating mass isn't a concern. Considering I'm geared for less than 30 and I have more than enough power available it's not gonna make a huge difference, also I bought this cause I wanted true MT looks and nothing says that better than chevrons, If I replace these it will most likely just be with a set of mashers.
