I LiPoed mine for the low self discharge and get longer runs as a side effect, I replaced 2650 NiMhs with 2200 LiPos so it shouldn't last as long in theory but in practice its good for a 2day weekend race now and I used to have to charge up at some point.

2 of my transmitters feel better lighter and one I had to add lead weight to make it balance right again, but even for the 2 that do feel better lighter its not a big deal, if someone offered me a set of cells for free that weighed nothing at all but had the discharge characteristics of NiMhs I wouldn't take them.

OK I would take them, but I would keep LiPos in my TX and make a 3D indoor flyer for the weightless cells that will stay up all day.
