any body know were i can get the adapters at? i know its been done cause i found a pic of a truck just like mine with them on it and it looks petty sweet.

Imex makes some cheap slide over 17mm adapters, they slide over 14mm hexes. What you could do is use Pede 14mm adapters and slide the 17's over them. Other than that, you're looking at a custom job or "creative" work.

Well, kind of. You would put these on first, then get some adapters......the best I can do is say they come with these, but there's others out there........I just can't find them right now.

No idea what the bore size is on these for the axle, but it may be worth checking out:

If they are too big, maybe a sleeve can be made to make them fit the axle correctly.

will crap maby this isent such a hot idea. im looken at around 60 bux just for all the adapters plus the cost of wheels and tires:eek: . tnx any way guys

OK, was my last post invisable or something? The links that batfish just gave is exactly what I used on my E-Maxx to put those buggy tires on. Not sure if you have an E-Maxx or not but that is what I used.

The adapaters for the X-Terminator use an 8mm axle, 1/10 trucks use 5mm, and E-Maxxs use 6mm.

David, I tried doing the 17mm adapter thing on my Rustler using my 14mm hexes and the Imex slip-on things, but it just didn't work out. There was nothing to hold the Imex pieces on, so the wheels could slide right off.

You could probably machine something out for them though, guys on RC Crawler were cranking out adapters for the 23mm wheels (so they could be used on Tamiya trucks) a couple weeks after they hit the market, so it's definately do-able. In fact, now that I think about it, there was a guy on that site (www.rccrawler.com) that put 1/8 buggy wheels and Proline "Badlands" tires on his Tamiya TLT, a truck that usually runs 12mm wheel hexes. This was a while back, and I don't remember the guy who did it, but think it was "toyofast"........

Did a quick search, turned out to be "rbgerrish" (makes some sweet stuff too), but none of the pics work anymore. Either way, here's the thread: http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/showt...oline+badlands .

But because I'm never satisfied, here's another idea for doing it......you gotta kill a set of tires for it though.

ya i dont know if this is somthing i wont to do or not. it would look cool and it would be unique but its just to much hassle for my broke ase lol
