I am trying to build an E-revo to bash with while i am deployed and i was woundering if anyone could help with soem advice on how to make the truck as bullet proof as possible. The thought of waiting 2 months to get a part if i breakk it isn't very appealing so this is what i have bought so far for the build
the e-revo brushless edition RTR
KD aluminum chassis
tekno swaybar kit
some rollcage from ebay
front, mid, and rear aluminum skid plates from RD
intregy Evo3 steering blocks for revo 3.3
intregy Evo5 wing mount
Intregy alloy front and rear bumpers
rpm tru-track rear a-arms
rpm front a-arms
and a few sets of lipo batteries
any help will be helpful cause i really don't know what i am doing i have only used or built a rock crawler before and i9 think i am pretty out of my element here with the revo
You could also get Al cases and cups for you diffs...will help alot w/excess flexing which is a big reason these diffs fail. Make sure to shimm diffs correctly..

You also may want to upgrading the servo save arms to AL as well.

If you don't do a diff upgarde weither it's Mikes(RCM) kits or whatever do yourself a favor and buy several erevo/emaxx diffs off of ebay for spares. You'll need them !
CVD's are a great upgrade, but if you do RPM arms stick w/the stock plastic axles and pick up a few of those while your at ebay.
RPM arms do flex a lot and will bananna your steel axles.
I run 5s in my Erevo and RPM arms w/palstic axles and rarely have problems.
I retired from RC, now life is all about guns and long range shooting.
thanks for the luck i started ordering parts about 2 months ago and still haven't seen any of them but i found a company that is will ind to recreate the kersaw chassis top and bottom plate out of carbonfiber so hopefuly it won't bend like Mr. crash's did
