custom sno job - snow vehicle - 2nd video added 2/21 - 02.21.2010, 12:32 AM

very first run video
two battery packs - 3s2p A123 life
this was the batteries first run also, so there will be more juice once they wake up.
just finished a few hours of making adjusting and clear rear skid/snow plate.
the video was helpful as i could see the what was happening from a 2nd perspective.
long day, but heres the first run.
i will get into how it handles on monday but i am running these new adjustments tomorrow and will have another video also.

second run - way way better- batteries are starting to wake up.
made a clear skid plate for the rear bumper, yesterday the bumper just dug in the snow, but now it just glides over the snow.
the narrow rear end does slide out but it fits the snow driving. the skis stay planted and the rear slides around, just had to get used to it.
second video - i still need to make some retainer straps for the skis so they do not rotate so far up. the dubro ski springs are the way to go, no more ski tips digging into the snow.
i did take off the wing tip skid you see on the bottom, they just made the ski pivot, the skis work great by them selves.

heres the second run video. ended early - broke out the wheel hex. already made a new wheel.

Haha DrumnBass snow rc!

Pretty cool and looks like it does well...

Buddy of mine did an old gold-pan RC10 like that years ago, studded the tires and made skis, but it didn't get along quite as well as yours.

That's what us northerners have to do to not go cabin crazy!

That's awesome Ben! I love seeing it in the fluffy stuff. Seems to handle amazing. Glad to see you still have snow. Down here, we have none. I took the scaler out today in the dirt..

Again, this thing (Snow Job?) turned out great.

If we dont derail a topic it wouldnt be rc-monster...

For such a crazy looking homebrew vehicle, it certainly looks right at home in the snow- you did a good job there dude.
