've been there, done that, got the t-shirt (sent postcard home)...

waste of money, sorry to say.

not without a reason they're called "turning toasters of death" or so...

probably a cheap alternative are e.g. the align 600l motors for helis, u get them on ebay quite cheap. for 5 or 6s a cheap alternative (they have about 1600kv). I had one and it worked well.

and for sure, there are some other budget-motors. here in europe, the losi motors are (almost) affortable, compared to other big brands, at least.

the new hobbywing motors seem to be good (4 pole), dunno if they're available soley.

there's been a discussion some months ago about some new 4 pole motors, can't remember the name. they're at leastcheaper then a neu, seem to be good. they're used by the boat guys.

sometimes you get the flux motors cheap at ebay (=cc neu).
