Thanks guys!! It really means alot! I couldn't have done it without you.
My UE 8 gear Ultralites are under the weather so I've got my 3.3 spec diffs in there. They are working surprisingly swell They lasted about 8 hard runs with this setup. and are still going strong! I said all that to say that until I get the Ultralites back in I'm too embarrassed about the yucky small black 3.3 diffs. They will hold up will though in my brushed water-resistant/bash-buddy truck:
I suppose I can post some teasers
LST2 Sway bars that I probably don't even need but they will not remain untested.
Stay tuned for video!

Please lets not make this about batteries. My nxt batteries will either be Hyperion g3 or more likely NeuEnergy. I've been very satisfied with the performance of these MaxAmps. The price I paid was not even that bad. Customer service was great they saved me a ton of money off their retail, which brought the price down to competitive levels.
Now I will continue to talk with anyone about Neu or Hyperion but I will NOT talk about MaxAmps.
Thanks Chad
-Zack
P.S. A few Videos will be posted up tonite

Look at how instant the acceleration is:
My driving skills(or lack there of) look good in this one
Me and dad goofing off.
I was not happy about this, you'll see why:

I wasn't able to see the other side of this table top but I heard the loud thud (the picture camera doesn't do it justice). Terrible place for a boulder! This is a BMX track where young kids could really hurt themselves on a rock of this size. Of course the truck didn't have a scratch but look at how fast the truck comes to a stop from about 25-30MPH. I moved the rock far far away.
Batteries are getting low at this point:
Just me messing around but look at the HUGE BMX track. You see about half of it here!

I watched all the vids ans pics of your album : WELL DONE
So what are the pros and cons of this new setup ?
Some specific questions for you :
- What CD do you use and what's your oil setup (rear/center/front) ?
- Are 4 shocks enough ?
- Do you have a part number for the Dubro rod ends ?
- No problem with the stock diff ?
- What body did you use with your previous FLM chassis ? This one http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...3-00&search=Go or this one http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...6-00&search=Go ?
Thanks !

Hehe, I knew I would get you stirred up with the battery comment...no worries though, I was just messing around!
Anyway, everything looks awesome, and again, well done...I am very impressed!

Its running 10k in the CD and its a GS Storm CD. 46T spur. I gave him a few differnt pinion options I dont kniw what he chose. Looks good but you should really try out those Powerstrokes... Looks to me like your slapping the belly on landings. The Powerstrokes with the springs I had on them are perfect shocks. And DO use the By-pass. It makes it handle very well. I think you will be pleasant surprised.
Surprisingly enough I have at least 8-10 runs on those diffs too. They held fine like I said when you guys were giving me grief lol!!!

So what are the pros and cons of this new setup ?
#1.Acceleration, acceleration, acceleration!!! I can hit full throttle with out doing a backflip! #2.Turns much sharper #3. Uber low center of gravity #4. Handles better when landing on say one wheel or jumping while adjusting track position say turning on a bump. e.i. when negotiating a rough turn #5.better overall handling
Some specific questions for you :
- What CD do you use and what's your oil setup (rear/center/front) ?
Its running 10k in the CD and its a GS Storm CD. 46T spur with a 10t pinion geared for 40mph UE Diffs will be 10/10/10 but remember they are 8 spider gear diff so they feel like 30k wt with 10k I think the stocks are 30k.
- Are 4 shocks enough ?
For some tracks yes. For some no. For my current unpolished driving style NO. However this setup is stiffer and bottoms less often than most RTR truggies I've seen like the 8t. I really want four even bigger shocks like maybe some from the CRT.
- Do you have a part number for the Dubro rod ends ?
CLICK
- No problem with the stock diff ?
TRX or GS storm? Nope and nope.
- What body did you use with your previous FLM chassis ? This one http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...3-00&search=Go or this one http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...6-00&search=Go ?
The bigger one marketed for the LST, 3.3s, and MGT. The first one you linked to.
Thanks !

Going better than planned! -

Okay I can't contain the surprise waiting for the 23rd anylonger its a new body painted by myself! My first ever body and I'm about 75% of the way through and it looks magnificent IMO!!! I can't wait to reveal it!
So coming next week I'll also have my brushed water proof buddy truck finished
I'll also have short custom truggy style CF towers with wing mount on rear along with a CF steering/upperplate and CF battery trays. Ordered a 3mm 4.25X11.45mm sheet from Fullforce. CLICK
Stiffest servo saver spring from UE for tighter turns
G3 VX battery from Hyperion
1.Buddy truck
2.New custom proline truggy body
3.CF towers
4.CF steering/upperplate
5.CF battery trays
6.Stiffest UE servo saver spring
7.New Hyperion battery
Next month I'm getting another Hyperion battery and and AND true truggy tires; Proline VTR zero offset white-dish Calibers!! Then I should have transformed my 3906 into a true truggy.

Yeah thanks Jacob! Next week I sure will! I've been meaning to.
I can't figure it out about the diffs this is the first pair of 3905 diffs I've seen last more than 10 runs and that was with a slipper! These bad boys have had at least twenty with your count. UE sent me the wrong gear parts for my Ultralight diff So they need to last alittle longer!
I love this hobby

Check this out! My college art teach is asking me to enter it into the campus art contest
The huge tires are just for looks I don't actually use them.
I've mounted it since I took these pics and the body now covers the chassis sides up. Its just as much a truggy as the next truck. More pics to come with truggy Bowties mounted up so stay tuned.

I know that's a HardDrive body, but what truggy is it for?
